I think every society starts primitive and then mannerisms are traits that are taught later as society becomes developed.
A popular European queen invented forks, wine glasses and other goods which allowed men to behave on dining table with less savagery, less ‘jun glee’ as we would say.
If people staring mating choices based on mannerisms, we will fix mannerisms in two generations max.
